  • Freelancers/Self-employed:

    • MOHRE permit

    • Bachelor’s degree or specialized diploma

    • Income of AED 360,000 or more over the past two years (or proof of financial solvency)

  • Skilled Employees:

    • Valid job contract

    • MOHRE occupational level 1–3

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • Monthly salary of AED 15,000 or more

2. Standard Work Visa

This is a typical employment visa, usually valid for two years, and is sponsored by the employer.

Who Can Apply:

  • Private Sector Employees: Apply through GDRFAD Dubai for private sector employment.

  • Government or Free Zone Employees: Apply via GDRFAD Dubai for government or free zone employment.

Note: The employer is responsible for initiating and processing the residency visa application.

3. Golden Visa

A long-term UAE residency visa (5 or 10 years) for foreign talents in various sectors.

Key Benefits:

  • Multiple-entry 6-month visa to complete the residence process

  • No need for a sponsor

  • Ability to stay outside the UAE for more than 6 months without visa cancellation

  • Sponsor family members (spouse, children of any age) and unlimited domestic helpers

  • Family can remain in the UAE even if the visa holder passes away

  • Renewable upon expiry

4. Domestic Worker Visa

This visa type is for employing domestic workers and comes with specific regulations to protect both employees and sponsors.

Key Requirements:

  • Sponsor must earn at least AED 25,000 per month

  • Worker cannot be related to the sponsor

  • Sponsor must be a UAE resident living with their family

  • For private drivers, the sponsor must own at least two personal vehicles registered in the UAE
